The smartdept.inc. is in search of an Associate Designer with a strong emphasis in creating designs and concepts for our client located in Lincolnshire. This is a 4 month contract opportunity working with a leading multi-brand technology solutions provider. The ideal candidate will come with at least 2 years of graphic design experience.
what you'll do:
  • Create designs for a variety of platforms, which may include Internet and intranet sites, mobile apps and digital signage.
  • Create the concepts, artwork and layouts for digital projects based on creative briefs and client meetings.
  • Work within brand guidelines to create layouts that reinforce CDW’s brand through its visual touchpoints
  • Juggle multiple projects while effectively managing timelines and expectations
  • Design logos, icons and infographics
  • Create and organize production assets
  • Resize assets for different devices — tablet, mobile and web
  • Source images (stock photos and video footage)

what you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in design required
  • Entry level – 2 years experience required.
  • Solid skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience in Adobe After Effects a plus
  • Knowledge of animation, video creation/editing, social objects, and website design
  • Knowledge of HTML. Will not be creating code, but switching out images/text/logos/etc.
  • A solid foundation in typography, layout and design
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with transitions, animation, motion design and dynamic interaction
  • Excellent visual, written and verbal communication skills, along with presentation skills
  • A penchant for details and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress and meet deadlines
  • The ability to effectively take direction and work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Understanding of web design issues, including browser usability and cross-platform compatibility
