Core Requirements

  • 3-5+ years experience as a Front-End Developer
  • Demonstrates knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5/CSS3/JS/ES6
  • Ability to create responsive layouts with Bootstrap, Foundation or custom framework
  • Expert object-oriented JavaScript developer with experience in React.js, Angular.js and/or Meteor.js
  • Understanding of responsive web design, browser compatibility, progressive enhancement, accessibility and DOM-based animation
  • Ability to work with 3rd party RESTful API services
  • Lives by an agile software development approach
  • Basic understanding of front-end build tools, continuous integration (CI) and other workflow automation
  • Passion for web technologies and the future of the web
  • Resourceful, collaborative and flexible with a knack for problem solving

Skills and Qualifications of Interest

  • Experience with JS test frameworks like Mocha, Jasmine, Chai or QUnit
  • Built production-worthy applications on Rackspace Cloud, Heroku or AWS
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems like Keystone, Wordpress, Magento, ActiveAdmin, ComfyCMS, LocomotiveCMS or Spree eCommerce
  • Developed a single-page application or mobile web app (non-native)
  • Built production-worthy applications in Node.js
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
  • Application development using Cordova, PhoneGap or AppDeck
  • Implemented custom analytics, tag managers, SEO audits and/or social meta tags
  • Expert with Git workflows and has worked with BitBucket or GitHub
  • Open source contributions and decorated GitHub profile
  • Experience working in a creative agency
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital art, computer science, computer engineering or related field
