The smartdept.inc.  is in search of a Senior Supply Chain Coordinator  for a global client in Ada, MI.

This role is within the Global Supply Chain Planning (GSCP) part of the clients organization, and supports material planning and inventory control requirements for Ada based manufacturing.

 

The right candidate will be responsible for:

  • Placing Purchase Orders for select component and raw material suppliers.
  • Communicating with supply base to manage inventory to support Finished Good productions across a broad range of product categories.
  • Communicating with GSCP and Manufacturing staff to provide inventory information on critical items and any potential impact to production schedules.
  • Loads Bill of Materials in a new item set up process and manages associated inventory disposals.
  • Provides additional assistance on an as needed basis for projects, data entry, etc.
  • Works closely with the Supply Chain Planning Team to support our clients' material sourcing and finished goods planning, while also being responsible to deliver and report out on inventory and service metrics.
  • Additionally, will cover and act as back up for full time MRP planners when they are out of the office; handling their full responsibilities while away.

 

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements : 

Associate degree or equivalent related experience in addition to 1-3 years supply chain experience for Supply Chain Coordinator. 3-5 years supply chain experience required for Sr. Supply Chain Coordinator.

Other Requirements: 

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and respond effectively to both internal and external customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated abilities with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Access, Power Point and MS Project.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience.
  • Must be a flexible team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

This is a 12 month contract role, 40 hours/week onsite
