  • Be the air traffic controller in supporting the creative, writing and marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of company-wide initiatives — basically being a project manager for all projects as they work through the system.

  • Have an understanding of the creative process and production involved for various types of projects and workflows, including but not limited to video production, brochure creation, presentation development, advertising tactics, marketing collateral, website and  app initiatives, email campaigns, photo and film shoots, apparel design, tradshow design, signage and more.

  • Oversee that project schedules are created and executed on accurately, utilizing an online project management tool (Workamajig)
    • Work with creative director to understand prioritization and timelines associated with projects
    • Work with creative director on how projects should be assigned to creatives
    • Check in with creatives daily to help maintain the pulse in the creative team and help anticipate/solve capacity issues before they completely disrupt/overwhelm workflow.
    • Be the lead admin in Workamajig (or whatever tool is preferred) and maintain/grow the relationship with this third-party vendor
    • Report monthly on volume and timelines of projects in the entire marketing department

  • Oversee project management, quoting and production with external creative partners, including design resources, print vendors, photographers, film and video resources and more
    • This also includes requesting any needed purchase orders and quotes as well as investigating paper stocks, signage materials etc. and following up to get proofs / approval from vendors; the lead contact with production vendors.
    • Offer vendor solutions to creative director as needed. Vendor selection is determined with the creative director and is based on the quality of the vendor and qualifications of the project.
  • Review proofs in and out of the creative team to ensure edits agreed upon are accurately made

  • Maintain a “library” of final projects (print samples, thumb drives of videos, etc.)

  • Be an excellent communicator

  • Be an integral part of what the creative team does, as opposed to just managing the work that creative department does. Have ideas, bring in new ideas, introduce a new industry trend – be more than just a manager or coordinator.
