Associate Media Director

smartdept. inc. is searching for an Associate Media Director for a media agency in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 4+ years of planning experience both digital and linear. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

What You’ll Do:

• Build strategic, integrated media recommendations utilizing consumer insights, planning tools, past learnings and industry insights.
• Act as a leader across multiple client teams and identify/implement growth opportunities within client sets. Increase the quality of campaign implementation through execution of new ideas, partners, placements, etc.
• Oversee execution of digital media campaigns. This includes leading campaign implementation and execution, monitoring/optimizing, and insightful reporting.
• Build relationships with agency partners and with clients and appropriately respond to clients' needs. 
• Provide guidance on performance analysis from direct reports, resulting in reports that articulate actionable insights and recommendations to grow our clients’ businesses

What You’ll Need:

• 4+ years of planning experience both digital and linear 
• Experience with local planning including broadcast & out of home
• Experience working directly with clients and agency partners 
• Self-starter, proactive, attention to detail, willingness to work with younger team members to train and develop
