Social Media Specialist

smartdept.inc. is searching for a Social Media Specialist for a client located in Rosemont, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 2-3 years of experience in developing social media content. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity expected to last 5 months. The position will be part-time to start and then lead to full-time after a short training period.

What You’ll Do: 

• Create monthly editorial calendars for social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and
  Instagram
• Draft and publish social media posts/tweets daily
• Create and publish Instagram stories daily
• Monitor social media accounts for comments and engage/respond when appropriate
• Coordinate development of new graphics and images for social media

 What You’ll Need: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing.
• Minimum two years of experience developing social media content with an understanding of
  multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) and social media management
  tools
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in a healthcare or nonprofit setting preferred
