Paid Search and Social Supervisor

smartdept. inc. is looking for a smart, energetic, and curious Search and Social Supervisor with 2-3 years of Paid Search and/or Social experience for a direct-hire placement with a Chicago agency.

what you’ll do:

  • SEM/Paid Search and Social account management and execution in Google Ads, Bing Ads and Facebook/IG or Twitter
  • Develop and recommend budget levels based on client goals and objectives
  • Create, categorize and refine keyword lists to create a comprehensive campaign that drives qualified visitors to client sites
  • Implement successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management using third party software and metrics data
  • Continually monitor, revise, and conduct landing page tests
  • Monitor audiences, device and location targeting efforts on a regular basis to maximize campaign efficiency and performance
  • Analyze and assess campaign performance and translate quantitative and qualitative data into recommendations and plans for improving on campaign strategy
  • Communicate regularly on status, timeline, budget, deliverables, performance reporting, and competitive intelligence analysis
  • Format and prepare regularly scheduled search reports for clients. Reports would be in the form of tables, graphs, summaries, and slides
  • Present data on monthly and quarterly calls to clients reviewing metrics and optimizations
  • Experience with social native platforms such as YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter

what you’ll need:

  • BA in marketing, advertising, communications or equivalent
  • Google Ads Search Certification required within the last year
  • 2-3 years SEM account management or comparable digital experience and strategic thinking
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate tasks and client needs
  • A customer service focus and the ability to work as a team and independently are a necessity
  • Able to successfully manage and prioritize multiple campaigns in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to gather, analyze, summarize, and present data
  • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Google Ads, GDN, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, FB/IG, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Data Studio and Analytics (desired but not required)
