Associate Account Director

smartdept. inc. is searching for an Associate Account Director for a marketing agency in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 7-10 years of experience. This is a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity. 

What You’ll Do:

• Strengthen client relationships, and drive business growth through effective management of client expectations
• Lead client meetings, coordinate task assignments and execute reporting tracking
• Collaborate with the media team and creative teams to define/clarify campaign objectives and to champion those objectives as a client advocate
• Facilitate client planning and help to formulate campaigns and strategies while working in collaboration with creative teams to achieve optimum campaign performance for clients.
• Collaborate with the leadership team, staff, and clients, to ensure clients always have the most up-to-date information about active campaigns, budgets, and performance reporting
• Assist partners with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for client sales performance, profitability, and resource usage
• Manage and monitor client campaign budgets, budget usage reporting, tracking of related vendor invoices, and coordination with the accounting team
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure assigned projects are on track, on budget, and completed to the satisfaction of the client

What You’ll Need:

• 7-10 years of experience in account direction
• Strong project management expertise 
• Experience in quick-service restaurant accounts, retail or consumer package goods
