Jr. Art Director

smartdept.inc. is searching for an Associate Art Director for the corporate division of a car wash franchise located in Holland, MI. The ideal candidate will come with at least 5-8 years of experience designing print and digital marketing and advertising assets. This is a hybrid on-site and remote, full-time position. Candidates must be local to Holland, MI. 

What You’ll Do: 

• The art director will be a big-picture conceptual thinker and executer, who communicates
  with team members as both a leader and team player. 
• Help lead and shape multiple campaigns while staying consistent with brand guidelines. 
• Work closely with and report to the creative director on assigned projects and will assist in
  mentoring other creative team staff.
• Build files properly for production and work within specified parameters identified in project briefs for digital and print campaigns

What You’ll Need: 

• 5-8 years of art design experience for print and digital marketing and advertising assets.
• The ability to take a small project and put it into a big picture perspective
• Direct experience in executing dynamic design projects from conception to completion
• Ability to brainstorm, collaborate and take technical and creative direction
• Must have a strong working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• The ability to create and follow style guides 
• Understanding and knowledge of print processes and web/social formats and development
• Photography, illustration, animation and film experience a plus
• A portfolio of your work will be required for review
