smartdept. inc. is searching for a Senior Product Designer for a client in Lincolnshire, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design. This is a fully-remote, contract opportunity that is expected to last 6 months.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with a distributed team of Product Designers, UX Design - Researchers & Content designers
- Designs creative solutions for real-world problems that help people and organizations thrive
- Crafts user scenarios, user flows, information architecture (IA) and pixel-perfect mockups and prototypes that include compelling interactions for mobile, native apps and more.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on designs; evaluate usability of existing systems as well as preliminary designs
- Present research, strategy and design work to internal clients for review
- Collaborate effectively with developers, strategists, product managers, executives, Creative Directors and other designers to craft solutions for a variety of different platforms and industries
- Facilitate collaborative client discovery and design workshops and participates in ideations
- Always motivates and champions user-centered Design
- Experience in multitasking and working in ambiguous situations
- Help support a shared design vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product design and execution
- Grow a culture of design and ship with speed, consistency, and quality, rebuilding our culture
- Look beyond point solutions and apply design to the creation of new strategies, systems, and—in some cases—entirely new businesses
What You’ll Need:
- BS in Graphic Design, Visual Design, Communication Design, Human Factors (HCI) or a related field; MS a plus
- 5+ years of experience as a UX/Product Designer in relevant industries working with multi-disciplinary teams in Agile environments
- Experience designing mobile web and native mobile applications for Android and IOS
- Hands-on prototyping experience with tools such as Figma, HTML/CSS
- A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methods
- Familiarity with qualitative & quantitative research methods and the application of insights
