smartdept.inc. is searching for an Application Developer Analyst for a Michigan-based health care organization located in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate will come with a minimum of 6 years of experience with applicable business functions. This is a full-time, fully remote, 3-month contract opportunity and is planned to go until April 29th, 2022.
What You'll Do:
The Application Developer Analyst will support backend database development and integration into Facets and ETL and other data management activities for downstream systems. The Application Developer Analyst will work within an agile team delivering solutions to support infrastructure, software, and technology modernization initiatives, ensuring high-quality solutions for patients and members.
- Estimate, design, code or configure, test, debug, deploy, document, and maintain applications and platforms while adhering to specific development best practices and quality standards
- Interpret business requirements, translating that information into detailed technical specifications
- Validate that proposed applications align with the architectural design and with the business needs
- Troubleshoot application problems, identify interdependencies, and implement new solutions
- Maintain database integrity and security using quality control mechanisms and system tools
What You'll Need:
- Experience with application development on Cloud Platforms
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter or Microsoft SSIS)
- Experience with SQL programming/designing relation databases, stored procedures, database functions, design tables, select statements, views, etc. (e.g. Oracle 12g / SQL Server 2008R2)
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to interpret technical requirements
- Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve systems problems
- Effective and self-sufficient in working within a diverse technology portfolio
- Experience working with health plans
- Experience with EDI X12 processing (preferred)
- Experience programming and supporting Facets Extensions
- Experience with Facets data and integration (batch and transactional)
