Marketing Specialist

smartdept. inc. is searching for a Marketing Specialist for a client in Schaumburg, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 5 years of experience, preferably in event marketing. This is a fully remote, contract opportunity expected to last 3 months with the possibility of extension. The projected pay rate for this position is $30-$40/hour.

What You’ll Do:

• Devise and manage marketing campaigns while collaborating with designers, content writers, clients, and other internal stakeholders
• Provide reports on projects including timeline, budget, etc
• Liaise with creative teams to come up with branding ideas, graphic designs, promotional materials and advertising copies
• Help in outbound and inbound marketing activities by displaying expertise in certain areas such as events planning, advertising, optimization, and content development
• Juggle multiple projects simultaneously

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years of experience in marketing and project management, preferably in event marketing
• Experience with email marketing software, preferably Eloqua
• Strong background in digital marketing, including SEO
• Versatility, attention to detail, strong communication skills, 
• Ability to work independently but also be able to take direction
• Ability to meet deadlines and deliverables
• Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
