smartdept. inc. is searching for a Jr. Marketing Manager for a tech-forward financial services client in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience. This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire opportunity. The hourly pay expectation is $50-$60/hr depending on experience level.

 

What You’ll Do:

Support Direct Sales Team on account and vertical-based selling tactics, including developing target account lists and programs to accelerate pipeline, strategic account, and lead acquisition. Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas and define the target audience required to achieve ABM and industry goals.

This role will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of effective demand generation campaigns delivering qualified leads and pimples to the SMB & Enterprise Sales Team. The role will be responsible for strategizing and executing demand-driven campaigns while also building strong partnerships with internal key stakeholders within the marketing and sales organization to align on account strategy and execute across different marketing channels.

  • Marketing Execution– Leads internal and external campaign execution responsibilities on demand generation strategies to support two teams: (1) Merchant Success, managing existing accounts (75% of the time), and (2) Supporting the Head of Bread Pay Marketing in alignment with the Partnership Team (25% of the time).
  • Marketing Planning- Provides expertise and builds marketing plans (monthly, quarterly, and annual) relevant to specific verticals optimizing program performance and delivering on strategic plans to achieve/exceed specific campaign KPIs.
    Identify and analyze information gaps and evaluate new technologies/data to optimize Bread Pay’s lead scoring and ABM and vertical-based programs
  • Campaign Performance- Evaluates campaign performance to make strategic decisions that will influence annual, quarterly, and monthly campaign planning. Independently responsible for reviewing campaign performance with Senior Leaders to gain alignment, and to develop a go-forward approach. Accountable for bringing team, and matrixed partners along through this process.
  • Collaboration and Communication- Utilizes critical thinking skills to help analyze business issues, collaborates with stakeholders to resolve problems, and gains consensus on the best solution. Influences change across the organization by demonstrating organizational agility and managerial courage. Leads presentations and facilitates meetings in a professional and articulate manner.
  • Establish measurement requirements and develop dashboards for ongoing reporting and decision-making
  • Partner with Head of Marketing to create and manage Bread Pay’s editorial calendar for Merchant Success & Partnership
  • Coordinate with the Brand & Creative team and across the organization to ensure demand generation campaigns align with the client's brand strategy, visual identity, messaging, voice, and tone

 

What You’ll Need:

  • A passion for B2B, deep knowledge of e-commerce, digital marketing, and B2B2C marketing
  • 5 years of marketing strategy, demand generation, or Account Based Marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related degree
  • Experience in defining, building, and executing a marketing strategy across multiple B2B channels
  • Strong cross-functional, project management skills and the ability to multitask
  • Strong writing, editing, and creative skills
  • Strong analytical background with a proven history of using data to drive decisions
  • Working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation softwares
  • Preferred: previous experience in either the retail, e-commerce, or fintech space is a plus
