smartdept. inc. is searching for a Marketing Manager for a client in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the medical space and is comfortable working autonomously on a small team. This is a hybrid (1-2 times per week onsite), full-time, direct placement opportunity. The pay for this position is expected to be $90,000 - 100,000 annually.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee strategic plans for new patient marketing, new physicians, and working with physicians in a newly developing concierge medicine coaching program
- Strategic thinking, analysis of market, recommend customer engagement/ survey/ relationship strategies
- Proactively manage data analysis across all channels with ability to interpret data to inform and improve communications strategies
- Liaise directly, manage and contribute to our Physicians’ brand and PR strategy
- Develop and raise the profile of the brand identity across all channels
- Lead, develop and manage social media marketing, direct email marketing, newsletter and blog
- Manage company website, WordPress site and other Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Oversee marketing planning and strategy for recruiting high level positions (i.e. physicians)
- Manage CRM and patient engagement; including HubSpot, understanding its use and its pitfalls
- Create and manage a strong email marketing campaign for both patients and potential physicians
- Manage a social media and digital marketer providing strategy and support for day to day content posting, copywriting, communications and managing business brands.
- Manage external PR and digital agencies relationships and contracts
- Contribute to Board of Directors ongoing reporting
- Liaise with practice leaders and business development partners to ensure alignment of digital communications and delivery
- Evaluate existing vendor relationships for value and forge new vendor partnerships to accelerate strategic plans
- Manage all aspects of quarterly Town Halls
What You’ll Need:
- 3-5+ years experience handling strategy and managing people in a marketing role
- Bachelor’s degree (Marketing and or Communications desirable but not essential)
- Able to apply broad marketing and communications knowledge to provide strategic and tactical advice to leadership teams concerning all matters of digital marketing and communications
- Deep knowledge and understanding of healthcare marketing and how to reach a geographically focused market with niche healthcare needs including concierge pediatrics and other specialties
- Able to scale up and down independent contractors for managing Google Ads, FB ads, Instagram, managing website, SEO and PR
- Able to motivate and encourage others to find creative ways to communicate their brand to a wider patient audience through website, social media, newsletters and blogging.
- Personal passion for high quality clinical medicine and patient care
- Able to work autonomously delivering value-for-money projects at pace with high quality results and reflecting on evaluation.
- Strong and confident communicator with ability to communicate complex material clearly
- Proven ability to create engaging content for a variety of channels, digital and some traditional, and the specialist requirements of these channels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of producing engaging digital content, writing for the web and copywriting with strong visual and editorial judgment
- Experience with wordpress and other CMS, including website design and web information architecture
- Experience with Hubspot or similar CRM software
- Comfortable working to business led targets and extensive experience analyzing and using evaluation programs like Google Analytics
- Able to manage other staff, external contractors and strategists to help deliver on business goals
- Excellent at time prioritization
- Experienced in managing budgets
