Graphic Designer

Lincolnshire, IL
Contract - Remote / Full time

Job Title: Sr. Graphic Designer (InDesign + Figma)
Duration: 3-month contract (Aug–Oct, recurring annually)
Location: Fully remote

Overview

This is a high-volume, production-focused design role supporting a nationally recognized corporate client during their busy season. The work is heavily executional — not strategic — and requires someone who can move quickly, stay extremely detail-oriented, and work within established brand systems.

The core of the role is advanced InDesign production, but there is a growing need for digital support, including Figma. This person will help back up the team across both print and digital deliverables.

What You’ll Do

  • Execute high-volume production work primarily in InDesign (long docs, layouts, edits, versioning)
  • Apply and maintain strict formatting standards (styles, tabs, hanging indents, tables, charts, etc.)
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and speed
  • Take over and rework existing files/projects while maintaining brand consistency
  • Support both print and digital deliverables (emails, web assets, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure consistency across all materials

What You’ll Need

  • 5+ years of experience in a production-heavy design role
  • Advanced expertise in InDesign (this is critical — true power-user level)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to catch and correct errors quickly
  • Experience working within strict brand guidelines in a corporate environment
  • Ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume workloads without sacrificing accuracy
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)

Digital Requirements (increasingly important):

  • Experience with Figma
  • Ability to support digital design needs (emails, web, light UI work)
  • Comfortable working across both print and digital files as needed

Ideal Background

  • Experience in corporate environments (healthcare, insurance, financial, or similar)
  • Strong mix of production + light design eye (can clean up and elevate existing work)
  • Someone reliable during busy season who can plug in quickly and execute

Notes

  • This is not a conceptual or strategy-heavy role
  • Success = speed, accuracy, and consistency
  • This opportunity recurs annually, so strong performers are often brought back
