Contract - Remote / Full time
smartdept. is searching for a Sr. Instructional Designer for a integrated health client. The ideal candidate will come with 7+ years of experience. This is a Full-time, fully remote, 6-month contract opportunity. Compensation is $55-$65/hr., depending on level of experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Will use multimedia technology and authoring tools to design and develop human centered and interactive learning experiences that result in the successful transfer and application of knowledge, skills, and/or behaviors. The discipline of standard work will follow a system of designing a system of delivery, developing assets, and evaluating effectiveness.
- This role focuses on the design and development of eLearning and instructor lead courses in a wide area of subjects including leadership development and innovation curriculum.
What You’ll Need:
- Proven working experience in Instructional Design Methodologies, Design Principles, Adult Learning Theory, instructional technology and Performance Assessments.
- High-level proficiency using key authoring/design tools such as Articulate 360, Captivate and others to create interactive eLearning with a focus on the learner’s experience incorporating visual design, usability, interactive design, and accessibility.
- Demonstrate strong storytelling and visualization abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously while setting priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, including experience in executing proofreading and editorial tasks
- Problem-solving and analytical skills -Influence, presentation skills, and collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Proven skills in developing effective partnerships with key stakeholders and providing leadership support for driving change initiatives
- The ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities diplomatically.
- Strong eye for visual detail and the ability to use graphic and/or video software tools to create stunning visual content that engages learners and conveys information effectively.
Qualifications:
- Preferred 7 years of relevant experience in designing, developing, and curating learning and performance that achieves business objectives- Advanced instructional design skills, multimedia and technical skills and visual design skills preferred.
- Ability to use Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, InDesign and others.
- Bachelor's Degree In Adult Education, Human Resources, Education Technology, Learning Technologies or instructional systems design degree
