Direct Hire - Hybrid / Full time

smartdept. is searching for a Paid Search Analyst for a media management client located in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 2+ years of SEM/paid search management experience (which can include internships). This is a hybrid (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in office), full-time, direct hire opportunity.  Compensation for this position is expected to be $60-75k depending on experience level and fit. 

  • What You’ll Do:

    • SEM/Paid Search management and execution in Google Ads (Microsoft Ads a plus)
    • Develop and recommend budget levels based on client goals and objectives
    • Create, categorize, and refine keyword lists to create a comprehensive campaign that drives qualified visitors to client sites
    • Implement successful bidding strategies and effective keyword management using third party software and metrics data
    • Monitor audiences, device, and location targeting efforts on a regular basis to maximize campaign efficiency and performance
    • Communicate regularly on status, timeline, budget, deliverables, performance reporting, and competitive intelligence analysis
    • Format and prepare regularly scheduled search reports for clients. Reports would be in the form of data visualization platforms or Excel tables, graphs, summaries, and slides
    • Experience with (but not required) social ad platforms such as YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter

    What You’ll Need:

    • BA in marketing, advertising, communications or equivalent
    • Google Ads Search Certification preferred
    • 1 year SEM account management or comparable digital experience and strategic thinking
    • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate tasks and client needs
    • Ability to successfully manage and prioritize multiple campaigns in a deadline-driven atmosphere
    • Strong analytical skills: ability to gather, analyze, summarize, and present data
    • Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel; proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Experience in Google Ads, Google Display Network, Microsoft Ads, YouTube, Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Data Studio and Analytics (desired but not required)
