smartdept. inc. is searching for a Content Editor for a Marketing Agency client. This is a fully remote (must work CST hours), 1 month contract opportunity, with around 10 hours of work each week anticipated. The pay for this position is $30/hr - $38/hr depending on experience level. 

What You'll Do: 
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of tech clients' marketing and sales copy including ebooks, emails, display ads, powerpoint presentations, user guides, social posts, blogs, and more
  • Review and edit marketing and sales copy for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure that copy is accurate and up-to-date
  • Coordinate with other team members to ensure that copy is consistent across all marketing materials
  • Track and manage changes to copy

What You'll Need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in tech marketing copy editing (**editing for tech giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, or Google required**)
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
