AI Content Creator

smartdept. is searching for an AI Video & Content Creator for a public affairs and strategic communications client located in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will come with extensive experience creating AI-generated video content. This is a project-based, fully remote, ongoing contract opportunity.

This firm is looking to bring on a freelance content creator to help fill gaps on the video side. Requests come with relatively short turnaround times, so this role is best suited to someone with flexible availability who can jump in quickly when new projects come up. This is a great fit for someone comfortable starting light and growing into more as the need becomes clearer.

What You'll Do:

• Create video content using AI tools, including AI-generated characters
• Produce short-form content for social media platforms
• Turn around requests quickly, often with tight deadlines
• Stay flexible and responsive as scope and volume evolve

What You'll Need:

Education/Experience:

• Experience creating videos with AI and AI characters
• Experience with short-form social content
• Ability to work independently and jump on quick-turn requests with limited notice

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with public affairs, advocacy, or communications work
• Comfortable working with a scope that's still evolving
