Social Media Ad Designer

smartdept. is searching for a Social Media Ad Designer for a distributor and technology company serving the sign and graphics industry. This is a part-time/project-based, fully remote, ongoing contract opportunity with the possibility of scaling based on need.

We're looking for a hands-on designer who can use AI-assisted design tools to efficiently produce a steady stream of paid social ads across multiple brands, working from a limited set of source assets.

What You'll Do:

• Create native-format ads for Meta, TikTok, and Google Performance Max campaigns
• Produce a mix of reels, static photos, and carousel formats (video plus stills)
• Use AI-assisted design tools to generate ads efficiently, including from source assets
• Deliver finished assets in the correct specs/form factors for each platform (no direct ad uploading required)
• Join brief weekly check-ins to review A/B testing results and inform upcoming creative
• Help build out a library of templates and foundational content over time to streamline future production

What You'll Need:

• Experience:
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted design or content creation tools
  • Familiarity with platform ad specs for Meta, TikTok, and Google Performance Max
  • Comfortable producing multiple ad variations from a limited set of source assets

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with short-form video/motion editing
• Familiarity with A/B testing and interpreting ad performance data
• Experience working across multiple brands or accounts at once
