smartdept. inc. is searching for a Digital Creative Director for a marketing firm in Poulsbo, WA. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience in digital marketing. This is a fully remote, direct-hire opportunity. 


What You’ll Do:

  • Lead in day-to-day project work for an assigned collection of clients.
  • Own creative production and work with teams to get projects out the door.
  • Own the numbers, letting data drive decisions.
  • Author creative briefs and other project-related documents to kickoff/execute project work.
  • Write, design, and develop a variety of digital media creative including ads, web pages, optimization tests, chatbots, videos, emails, etc.
  • Prepare and present media performance reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure stakeholders are updated on the delivery/performance of digital efforts.
  • Coordinate with project managers and studio managers to guarantee the workflow, and projects are being executed on time and on budget.
  • Identify any issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and optimize active client work.
  • Keep apprised and knowledgeable of current trends and innovations in the field of direct market fundraising – what the leaders in the industry are doing – and how to integrate such new concepts, use of graphics and text that would enhance your assigned projects.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and meets the client’s requirements.
  • Pay detailed attention to aesthetic detail and assure that best practices in non-profit marketing are employed, as well as the latest trends and discoveries.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure
  • For-profit agency experience preferred
  • Performance marketing experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computer software that is related to web design, video editing, and graphic design.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects), and other Mac-based computer software
  • Competency in Webflow, BannerSnack, BeePro, Facebook Creative Hub, or a willingness to learn quickly
  • Knowledge of media buying, performance data, and media optimization
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Sponge-like absorption of media and ability to keep up with the demands of an ever-changing industry
  • Demonstrate an active use of social and digital media in your own life (ie: if you don’t have a Facebook account, this is not the job for you)
  • Experience with basic programming: HTML, .CSS, JAVA
