Business Analyst

smartdept.inc. is searching for a Business Analyst for a retail pharmacy and eCommerce client located in Deerfield, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of experience in business analysis. This is a full-time, 2 year contract with the possibility of extension or converting to a permanent position. This is a hybrid position, where the candidate can work remotely but must be available to come on-site as needed. The pay for this position is expected to be $45-50/hour.

What You’ll Do: 

• Analyze business processes and systems, identify inefficiencies and/or required controls, document procedures, and track key performance indicators
• Participate in developing new products and programs, lead process design/redesign activities, and identify change management impacts
• Participate in planning initiatives, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, and new systems design
• Document and manage functional requirements
• Be a general liaison between business and technical teams
• Create reference manuals, training materials, and other technical documents
• Work with test teams to create test scenarios and plans
• Work on Agile projects

What You’ll Need: 

• 3+ years of demonstrated successful experience in Business Analysis
• 3+ years of experience in SQL
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven track record in development of strategies to solve complex business problems
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and technical aptitude
• Experience in gathering, organizing, and reporting various information and data, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy, completeness, responsiveness, and accountability
• Experience creating/structuring a data framework and pulling data from an array of disparate systems to generate analytical insights
• Demonstrated motivation to build consensus, lead work streams, and drive progress on assigned projects
• Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of organization
• Strong written and oral presentation skills, including comfort presenting to senior management
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experience working with retail and eCommerce teams
