Process Improvement Specialist

Contract - Hybrid / Full time

smartdept.inc. is searching for a Process Improvement Specialist for a client based in Ada, MI. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and a passion for leading cross-functional teams and projects to develop and launch training content. This is a full-time, 4-month contract opportunity. This is a hybrid position, where the candidate can work remotely but must be available to come on-site Tuesdays and Wednesdays in Ada, MI. However, for the right candidate this position could be fully remote. The pay for this position is expected to be $30-40/hour.

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Facilitate continuous improvement activities; ensure consistent implementation of processes across the department
  • Execute project plans, processes to meet those plans, and documentation and measurement methods to drive sustained performance improvements to training content, programs, and tools
  • Manage cross functional projects and serve as a key point of contact and liaison between stakeholders across functional units (e.g., sales, marketing, etc.)
  • Monitor status of projects and budgets, manage schedules, and deliver timely communications and updates across the team
  • Assess project issues and develop solutions to meet cost, quality, timing, and delivery objectives
  • Support designing and writing updates to training content as needed
  • Employ a user experience-focused mindset, seeking to understand and then meet user needs and improve their experience; problem-solve leveraging Human-Centered Design approaches
  • Communicate, influence, and align with internal partners, vendors, and external stakeholders throughout managing the development and delivery of training
  • Identify current industry best practices and implement those best practices into the organization
  • Oversee and provide feedback to vendors throughout the development and/or administration of training programs

 

What You’ll Need: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Training/Learning, Project Management, Process Improvement, Sales, Marketing, or Communication
  • BA/BS in business, training & education, project management (PMP, PgMP), operations management, continuous/process improvement, communications, supply chain, or related field
  • Instructional design/content development understanding preferred to be able to consult with partners and provide strategic recommendations throughout the e-learning development process
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and team members throughout the ADDIE or similar process, including defining project scope, problem solving, aligning stakeholders, leading processes, timelines, and budget, and meeting deadlines
  • Planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
  • Continuous improvement mentality, leveraging six sigma fundamentals and strong organizational skills when managing workflows
  • Experience with Adobe Workfront a plus, or the ability to quickly learn new software
  • Understanding of Direct Sales Industry and/or selling strategies preferred
