Technical Content Editor

smartdept. inc. is searching for a Technical Content Editor for a Marketing Agency client located in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS products and services, as well as excellent writing and editing skills. This is a fully remote, ongoing contract opportunity, with around 10 hours of work each week anticipated. The pay for this position is $30/hr - $38/hr depending on experience level. 

• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of all marketing and sales copy for AWS products and services.
• Review and edit marketing and sales copy for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Work with subject matter experts to ensure that copy is accurate and up-to-date
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure that copy is consistent across all marketing materials
• Track and manage changes to copy
• Produce high-quality copy that meets the needs of AWS customers

What You'll Need: 

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience as a copy editor
• Strong understanding of AWS products and services
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
