smartdept. inc. is searching for a Freelance PR Specialist for a luxury travel client located in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience in public relations. This is a part-time, fully remote, project-based opportunity requiring 5-10 hours per week, with the possibility of ongoing collaboration. Compensation for this position is expected to be $25-$35/hour, depending on experience level and fit.
What You’ll Do:
- Secure media placements in relevant publications to elevate brand visibility.
- Pitch and coordinate interviews, guest articles, and podcast appearances.
- Develop and execute PR strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and podcast hosts.
- Create press releases, pitches, and other media materials to effectively communicate the brand’s story.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in the travel, luxury, or lifestyle sectors
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Strong media contacts and a proven track record of securing placements.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Creative and proactive approach to identifying PR opportunities.
- Experience with digital PR tools and platforms.
