Events Marketing Specialist

smartdept. inc. is searching for an Events Marketing Specialist for a local internet provider. The ideal candidate will come with 2+ years of experience in marketing and experiential events. This is a part-time, onsite opportunity from May through October, approximately 16-20 hours per week, focusing on 2-3 events per month. Compensation for this position is expected to be $17-$22/hour depending on experience level and fit.

The Events Marketing Specialist will represent the company at community events, promoting their high-speed internet services and helping to build brand awareness. This role involves selecting and coordinating events, setting up and managing booths, and engaging with attendees to highlight the benefits of their offerings.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Research and select community events to promote their services.
  • Set up event booths and ensure all materials are organized and on-brand.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, engaging with attendees to explain offerings and benefits.
  • Sign up new customers for services directly at events.
  • Deliver engaging presentations to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Track event performance metrics, including customer engagement and sign-ups.

 

What You’ll Need: 

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or brand ambassador roles.
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently set up and manage event booths.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish-speaking is a plus.
  • Availability to work 16-20 hours per week, including weekends for events.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
  • Experience in experiential marketing or event-based promotions is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of community-focused marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with internet services or technology-related products.
