smartdept. is searching for a Brand & Marketing Coordinator for a global financial services client located in Riverwoods, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 3–5 years of experience in content management, brand communications, or marketing operations. This is a full-time, hybrid (onsite in Riverwoods, IL with some remote flexibility), 12-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $38–$42/hour depending on experience level and fit.

What You’ll Do:

  • Update and manage the Marketing Document Repository, including uploading and tracking all current and historical assets with RIK (tracking) numbers
  • Document, update, and maintain social media onboarding and removal processes, including step-by-step guides for new team members
  • Create and maintain documentation for social media account access, password changes, and process updates
  • Provide content support for web articles, with a focus on SEO and current best practices
  • Coordinate and document social media content reviews, including legal review calls, RIK submissions, and post validations
  • Review, submit, and coordinate new content with the web strategist, ensuring governance and process documentation for review and updates
  • Support issuer communications for 2026 and new creative campaign launches
  • Coordinate the marketing team scorecard, tracking KPIs and demonstrating performance of key initiatives for Sr Leadership
  • Support the ad hoc needs of the brand marketing team as required

What You’ll Need:

Education/Experience:

  • Associate's degree in marketing, communications, or related field required (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in content management, brand communications, or marketing operations
  • Strong project management and documentation skills
  • Experience with digital asset management systems (such as Brand Lab or similar)
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for web content
  • Experience coordinating legal reviews for marketing content
  • Familiarity with KPI scorecard reporting and marketing analytics
  • Proficiency with project management tools and collaborative platforms
