Graphic Designer

smartdept. is searching for a Freelance Graphic Designer for a media industry client. The ideal candidate will come with 3+ years of experience. This is a project-based, fully remote, ad hoc contract opportunity with hours varying based on project needs. 

This role will support a fast-paced internal creative team by stepping in on an as-needed basis to execute design projects when bandwidth is limited. The ideal candidate is both conceptual and executional, able to take projects from idea through final production across a variety of formats.

What You’ll Do:

• Concept, design, and produce a range of marketing materials from start to finish
• Create print and digital assets including brochures, sell sheets, and email templates
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project goals and deliver on-brand creative
• Jump into projects quickly and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
• Prepare final files for both print and digital production

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Experience working across both print and digital design projects
• Ability to balance ideation, layout, and production work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
